Husqvarna has a long history that is rich in tradition. The first Husqvarna plant was established in 1689 as a foundry. Today Husqvarna Group is the world‘s largest producer of outdoor power products including chainsaws, trimmers, lawn mowers and garden tractors. The Group is also the European leader in consumer watering products and one of the world leaders in cutting equipment and diamond tools for the construction and stone industries.

Husqvarna Group is present worldwide. Production sites are located in Europe, America and Asia. Through own sales subsidiaries and distributors the company is represented in all relevant countries.

Besides Huskvarna, Stockholm, Charlotte and Shanghai, Ulm is one of the major hubs of Husqvarna Group. Many core functions of the company with global responsibilities are located here.

In Germany Husqvarna Group is located at four sites. In Ulm the administration, research and development, assembly and logistics are located. At the Niederstotzingen site there is a plant for metal processing and the construction business. The Heuchlingen plant is specialized in plastics injection moulding. At Laichingen you can find is the logistics centre for large-scale goods as well as the training centre for servicing dealers and professional users.

In 2014 Husqvarna Group received the Swedish Company Award in Germany.
