“Data Science to go – from theory to practice” is the motto of the third Ulm/Neu-Ulm Innovation Congress, organised by Ulm University of Applied Sciences (THU) together with the InnoSÜD university network and the Ulm Innovation Region. It will take place as an online congress on Tuesday, 17 May 2022, starting at 9:15 am.
The advancing digitalisation and the resulting possible use of artificial, machine intelligence offers unimagined new possibilities. However, society has so far had an ambivalent attitude towards these new technologies: Some see artificial intelligence in particular as a whole new dimension of possibilities, while others fear the threatening superiority of the machines. Those who want to master the challenge of digitalisation must therefore constructively combine human and machine intelligence. The 3rd Innovation Congress Ulm/Neu-Ulm will address the various aspects in which data science and artificial intelligence challenge us in our professional and everyday lives.
The main objective of the congress is an application-oriented and practical examination of the possibilities and limits offered by the use of data science and artificial intelligence, as well as their integration into the regional innovation scene.
The congress motto will be comprehensively discussed in three thematic areas with a total of ten contributions as well as a keynote speech and three parallel practical workshops. The topics are “Technical Aspects of AI”, “Application Scenarios of Artificial Intelligence and Analytics” as well as “Machine Learning Operations and Data Science in Daily Operations”.
