Partnership between IHK Ulm and Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) extended until 2025

30. June 2022

The EEN network accompanies Baden-Württemberg companies on their way abroad:
Opening up new markets, gaining business partners and discovering innovative technologies – for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), foreign countries open up new and unique opportunities. To ensure that as many companies as possible benefit from this, the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) supports Baden-Württemberg on topics such as internationalisation, market development and foreign trade and can draw on a network of international partners. The Ulm Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been a partner in the EEN since 2008. This year, the partnership entered a new round until summer 2025.

The EEN is the world’s largest network for advising small and medium-sized enterprises. The support services for SMEs are diverse: they include handling cross-border orders, opening up new foreign markets or participating in European projects. The experts offer individual consultations, information events and sector-specific business trips to explore markets. Support in the search for cooperation partners, participation in European projects and optimisation of in-house innovation management is also central.

In the newly started funding period, further measures are offered to support companies in implementing the political strategies of the European Union. One focus is on improving the economic, environmental and social sustainability of companies by accompanying the transition to more sustainable business models by EEN experts. Digitalisation is also to be pushed even further with various measures. In cooperation with other networks at European level, businesses are supported in adapting their business processes, using digital technologies and developing new products and services by digital means. The topic of crisis resilience is also coming into focus. The network will increasingly support businesses to become more resilient, to fully recover from the consequences of the Corona crisis and to emerge stronger. Thanks to European Commission funding and regional co-financing, much of what is offered is free of charge.
