The opening ceremony will be followed by a traditional costume party. The “Reset die VollXrocker” band will entertain the audience. The popular band performing at many famous public festivals such as the Cannstatter Volksfest, wowed over 100,000 fans on their Oktoberfest tour through England. The band´s repertoire ranges from folk music and Helene Fisher´s songs to the hits of the rock legends like AC/DC, the Rolling Stones or Queen.
Saturday is going to be sporty. The beach volleyball tournament will begin at 10 a.m. The chess tournament is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. More than 200 children will participate in the Kids Olympics which will begin at 1 p.m.
Serenade at the Stadium
The Ehingen Historic Citizen Guard will conduct a serenade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its 3rd platoon on Saturday evening. The serenade will take place at 7 p.m. at the stadium.
At 8 p.m. the Dächingen Music Club will perform in the festival tent.
On Sunday morning, Worship will take place at 10 a.m. in the tent. At the end of the Worship the new flag of the Citizen Guard´s 1st platoon will be consecrated, accompanied by the music of the Liedertafel Ehingen and the Ehingen Municipal Band Wind Quintette. The Stehbach-Musikanten will ensure a good atmosphere during the morning pint after the Worship.
Show Programme
Children and youth from different clubs will perform at 2:30 p.m. The children´s entertainment programme will be opened by the „Dancing Tigers 2“ and the „Power Girls“ from the SC Berg, followed by a show of the “Jungdämonen” and the dancing groups of the SG Griesingen: „Tanzmäuse“, „Happy Feets“ und „Klick Klack“. In conclusion the Griesingen “Pintas” will present their programme, which they are also going to show at the Baden-Württemberg Festival of Gymnastics in Ulm.
The Ehingen Municipal Band will start its “Oldies” show programme at 3:30 p.m. The evening entertainment will be provided by the „Ehgnerländer“ which will enter the stage at 7 p.m.
Children´s Festival
The Mayor of Ehingen, Alexander Baumann and the chairmen of the Sports and Gymnastics Club, the Municipal Band and the Citizen Guard will open the traditional event for children on Monday 25th July at 2 p.m. The Ehingen Municipal Youth Band will accompany the opening ceremony.
The mobile Gymnastics World of the Children Gymnastics Foundation Baden-Württemberg will be this year again placed at the playground. Its stations focus on the joy and fun of movement. Children can explore the seven continents in a playful way. Furthermore they can ride a pony, climb a tree, stack crates or take part in one of the numerous craft workshops.
The visitors can also enjoy a diverse programme on the stage. It will include the second part of the successful project “Pop to Go”, the performance by the breakdancers of the Youth Centre and the Joe Brösele´s Kids Party. The musical finale of the afternoon programme will be offered by the Ehingen Municipal Youth Band. At 7 p.m. the Ehingen Municipal Band will play in the festival tent.
