International Festival in Ulm

At 2 pm a varied show programme on the stage, performed by the international clubs, will offer entertainment while local clubs and organisations will inform about their activities and represent their traditional cuisine. 60 booths will invite the visitors to enjoy interactive activities and international food as well to get to know more about the international life in the city. The Ulm international clubs from all over the world, schools, local emergency services and various organisations dealing with different areas of internationality will be represented.

The younger guests can enjoy a fun-filled afternoon with diverse activities for children such as games, handicraft work, face painting or jumping on the bouncy castle. The international artists will showcase their art and craft works at the Market of Cultures.

At 7:30 pm you are welcomed to dance. Mary Summers, known from The Voice of Germany, and Lebo Masemola, whose band have performed at many festivals throughout Germany, are two very different artists who invite you to the international party at the Market Square.

New for this year will be the programme on the eve of the International Festival. On Friday, 3 June 2016 at 7 pm, Lamya Kaddor, the Islam scholar and author, will give a lecture followed by conversation and discussion opportunity at the city library.

International Festival in Ulm

The next International Festival in Ulm will be held on Saturday, 4th June 2016. The slogan for this year´s festival will be “International Ulm – a City in Motion”. The festival will open with the Parade of Cultures at 1 pm. More than 30 groups will take part in the parade, representing their music, traditional dances and costumes. The parade will pass through the Hirschstraße, Pfauengasse, Dreikönigsgasse, Platzgasse, Münsterplatz and end at the Market Square at the City Hall. Here the International Festival will be officially opened.
