Topics relating to the use, opportunities and risks of artificial intelligence will be the focus of this year’s IT Congress, which will take place on November 9th at Neu-Ulm University (HNU). From 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on November 9th at the HNU everything revolves around the trending topic of artificial intelligence (AI). The organizers of the IT Congress Neu-Ulm | Ulm – the Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences, the Ulm University of Technology and the Ulm/Neu-Ulm business location – have set themselves the goal of presenting applicable knowledge and implementable solutions with the event. The conference is aimed at company representatives from all sectors, especially small and medium-sized companies, as well as university members and students.
This year the welcoming words will be given by HNU Vice President Prof. Dr. Julia Kormann, Gunter Czisch, mayor of the city of Ulm, and the initiator of the IT congress, Prof. Dr. Philip Brune.
The IT congress starts with a keynote speech by Thomas Schwarz, CFO of the Caritas Association of the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising e.V., who fell victim to a cyberattack with ransomware in 2022. A second keynote rings in the afternoon: Prof. Dr. Joachim Ankerhold, Professor of Theoretical Physics at the University of Ulm, will give a lecture on the topic “Quantum technologies – Quo vadis?”.
Further lectures by top-class speakers will address, for example, data protection from ChatGPT, dealing with cyber attacks, use cases of AI-based city planning or how AI can blur the boundaries between truth and fake.
The trade and recruiting trade fair, which takes place at the same time, offers a platform for the exchange of current developments in the IT sector. Companies and institutions from the IT industry present their news and offers at stands in the HNU foyer and invite you to discussions about IT trends, opportunities and challenges.
