Thorsten Freudenberger, board member of the Ulm Innovation Region, was voted farewell as district administrator last Friday.
The Neu-Ulm district, represented by almost 300 companions, said goodbye to Thorsten Freudenberger to Munich with a standing ovation. He himself said quietly “Servus”, which in Bavaria is said both when saying goodbye (as a district administrator) and when greeting us (as a member of the state parliament). On October 8, 2023, Thorsten Freudenberger was elected to the Maximilianeum with an excellent result. On October 30th he will be sworn in as a member of parliament at the inaugural session of the new state parliament. Then his era as district administrator of the Neu-Ulm district will come to an end.
His deputy Erich Winkler will take over Thorsten Freudenberger’s official duties until a new district administrator is elected in January 2024.
