Two straight A’s for advice and follow-up as well as the only credit institution in the region whose digital offering was rated as “very good”. Thanks to these top values, the member company of the Ulm Innovation Region, Sparkasse Ulm, has once again secured the “Best Local Bank” award.
“The fact that both our digital offering and our quality of service and advice were taken into account in personal contact confirms our work in two respects,” said Dr. Stefan Bill, Chairman of the Board of Sparkasse Ulm. With an overall score of 1.3, the savings bank not only improved on its previous year’s result, but also relegated the four credit institutions in Ulm that were also examined to the top even more clearly – with 1.95, the second-placed bank is already more than half a grade behind the test winner. The “Best Local Bank” award is presented by the independent “Gesellschaft für Qualitätsprüfung mbH”, whose analysis is intended to offer bank customers an objective and at the same time differentiated opportunity for comparison.
“In addition to the digital offering, we would like to continue to have excellent quality in our advice in order to identify the elementary life risks in the first step and, if necessary, to protect them,” explained Kai Fürderer, member of the management board of the Gesellschaft für Qualitätsprüfung, and summarised the test result at the end as follows: “Our evaluation – which is based on the five categories “Digital Check”, “Customer Orientation”, “Quality of Advice”, “Quality of Service” and “Aftercare” – shows that Sparkasse Ulm has the best overall offer on site.”
The independent society for quality measurement in banks has conducted the consumer protection-oriented bank test “BEST BANK on site” 2023 at over 200 locations. This is the only bank test in Germany that has been based on DIN standards since 2016. In addition, since 2021, the digital appearance has also been evaluated in addition to the extensive questionnaire.
